Srimad Ramayana Navaham and discourse in Singapore Sept 2014 – Roundup

His Holiness Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji says that there are big benefits in recitation of  ‘Slokas’, ‘Mantras’ and Stories (‘Parayanam’). When He discusses Ramayana He says ” Sri Raghavan (Sri Rama) does not keep account of any number of mistakes done by us. Whereas, the Lord never forgets even a small good deed rendered unto His cause! Moreover, Sri Raghavan knows what to talk to others – He enquires about good health to Guhan; questions about state finance to Bharatha. To Sabari, he asks about progress of her penance of ‘Nama Japa’. Sri Raghavan always has an ever-rising personality, and treats ups and downs of life with equanimity. When reading and hearing of Sri Rama’s qualities such as  ‘Poorvabashi’  <first to address>,  ‘Mridubashi’  <softspoken>  etc, the recipient imbibes the same qualities even unknowingly. This is the greatest effect of attending ‘Parayanams’!

With the guidance and blessings of Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji, Srimad Ramayanam Parayanam was held at Singapore Namadwaar from September 20, 2014 to September 28th 2014 during the mornings. During the same days, Namadwaar in association with Hindu Endowments Board of Singapore conducted lectures on Valmiki Ramayanam, delivered by Sri M.K. Ramanujam, disciple of Sri Sri Swamiji. The lectures conducted during evenings, were graced by  many learned scholars and public alike. Sri Ramanujamji enthralled the audience with detailed narration of Valmiki Ramyanam, drawing parallels from Kamba Ramayanam, citing all relevant instances to depict the greatness and current day relevance of the great epic Ramayana. All glories to our Master Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji, that the lectures were received with great enthusiasm and blessings showered on the program participants.
